How to change a database password on cPanel?

If you need to change a database password on cPanel, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account and navigate to the Databases section.
  2. Click on the MySQL Databases option.
  3. Scroll down to the Current Users section.
  4. Click on the Change Password option to the right of the database user you would like to edit.
  5. Enter your new password and confirm it or use the Generate Password option and click on the Change Password button to confirm.

That’s it! You have now changed the password of a database on cPanel. You can repeat these steps to change any other passwords you like.

Please note: After changing a database password you must also make sure you change the password on the configuration file for the website using that database otherwise you may see errors.
