How to force HTTPS redirect on addon domains on cPanel?

The process to force HTTPS redirect on addon domains on cPanel is slightly different than that of your primary domain.

For addon domains, you will actually be using the subdomain of your primary domain that was created when you added the domain to your cPanel account. These do not show as default under the Domains section on cPanel so to do this, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account and navigate to the Domains section.
  2. Click on the Domains option.
  3. You will see a Gear icon on the far right of the menu above your domains. Click on this and choose Show Associated Domains.
  4. Your subdomains will now show and you can now use the toggle option next to your chosen addon domain under the “Force HTTPS Redirect” option to On and wait for the confirmation message to show.

That’s it. You have now forced HTTPS redirects on your addon domains.
